Maclin Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Chlorine Release Tablets, offering a safe and effective alternative to liquid bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite). Our tablets dissolve in water to release stable and accurately measured solutions of free available chlorine, ensuring reliable disinfection for a variety of applications.
Our Chlorine Release Tablets are produced in the UK and undergo rigorous testing throughout the production process to ensure consistent quality and effectiveness. All microbiological claims are conducted and assessed by our UKAS accredited UK laboratory and tests are to British Standard and European Norm (BS EN). Our tablets are certified to:

The active ingredient used in Maclin’s Chlorine Tablets is known as Troclosene Sodium (or Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate, NaDCC). We have a sustainable and diverse supply chain for Chlorine and all suppliers are Article 95 Listed under the European Union Biocidal Products Regulations (EU) No.528/20912. The programme is sometimes referred to as BPR and BPD (Biocidal Products Regulations or Directive). Troclosene sodium is currently under review for types 2, 3, 4, 5 and 11 for evaluation. The UK HSE is looking to adopt the EU BPD and we are supporting our product range through this process and are part of the Arrow Regulatory Chlorine Programme.
